The Orange Can™

More and more, as we open our social media, brands appear in our feeds with their exquisitely curated social media platforms. Thinking about the advent of digital marketing for brands in social media, my initial project idea was to create an Instagram feed for a brand that does not exist in social media and is not heavily publicized. I came across the soda 'Sunkist' which fitted my initial idea and had brand colors that I loved. 

However, as the project progressed, I realized that my project was missing something to make it different. Therefore, after speaking with Prof. Mohaiemen and Ben, I decided to change my outlook on the project. Inspired by John Baldessari's conceptual art, I removed any visual symbols that recall the brands of my photographs. 

My final project looks to create photos that could be used to promote the fictional brand 'The Orage Can™.' The idea was to create an Instagram grid feed of 9 images that displayed the product while maintaining cohesive aesthetic colors throughout the photos. All of the images were photoshopped to remove the brand and enhance the orange hue on the cans.
